Welcome, 39ers! Hopefully, you’re not suffering the same Summer fate as me … so much to do and so little time! I need a cook, a maid, and a chief bottle washer, so I can concentrate on more fun stuff, like this article! So let’s do it …

Celebrating AUGUST 39ers ~ And More!  
Happy UN-Birthday Leo and Virgo AUGUST 39ers! Although August is often a transitory, overlooked month, it has its place in life to help you anticipate and appreciate the cooler fall weather. In the meantime, give this month its due … whether August 2024 holds your first or “next” 39er birthday or no birthday at all, below you’ll find a little fun to help you slow down a bit and savor the Summer.

For 39ers who Follow the Stars  

Although the early New Moon might seem like it disappeared too early in the month to be helpful, trust me, it isn’t going away that easily. You will still feel its push to reassess and revise well into mid-August.
Leo (07/23-08/22) the royal Lion and the reliable Virgo (08/23-09/22) rule the August skies and may find life a little chaotic. Take heart, it will settle down. 

So, my dear Leo, the New Moon on the 4^th is urged you to remember, if you want a different outcome to life, you must take a different path. It may not be easy, but what is your heart telling you to do? The more effort you apply, the further you’ll get. When the 19^th’s Full Moon rises, whether personal or professional, you’ll finally discover the root problem that’s been holding you back from a major move.

By the last week of the month, Virgo, you’ll be gearing up for a personal reassessment. It’s time for you to see the value you are to others, and feel good about it! This month is all about you discovering the real you. In areas of life, if you’ve been taking the back seat to others’ needs and wants, it’s time for you to drive. Calmly, quietly, but firmly assert yourself. Take the wheel … and enjoy.

We’re more than happy to share even more recognition for those who remember the “Good ol’ Days,” to spice up the dog days of Summer! You may recall this special day used to be celebrated in June, but now jams and jiggles in August for more celebration with the Woodstock Festival memories (August 15-18, 1969)!  

August 19^th: Can you feel it?! This month’s Full Sturgeon Moon holds real Full Moon Magic as it displays our first big, bright Supermoon of 2024! And it’s the first of four in a row, as we had into Fall and the Holidays. As always, the Full Moon urges us to complete our projects to make way for more. The wisdom of the ancients—which you can summon to help you know which projects to focus on—comes with August’s Full Moon, named for the giant prehistoric fish of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain. The females can live for 150 years and the “living fossils” are thought to have been around 136 million years ago. A more earthen moniker that you may know, if you’re familiar with the native Cree, looks toward the sky as fledgling birds learn to fly under the “Flying Up Moon.” 

August 31^st: Oh yum! It’s International Bacon Day! Like we need an excuse to crave bacon. The sponsor link doesn’t seem to be updated since 2022, but it’s chockful of everything bacon! And if you need more encouragement to scarf up some savory bacon, I found a decadent list of recipes for you that offers all-day munching “bacon for breakfast, dinner and dessert.” Enjoy …
